mentorship Pathway

A stewardship role for experienced wilderness guides shaping the next generation.

Our Philosophy

Mentorship within Wilderness Pathfinder Connections is not symbolic. It is a lived responsibility. We invite experienced guides and facilitators to participate in a vetted network grounded in integrity, lineage awareness, and accountable leadership.

Mentorship is the quiet architecture behind every capable guide.

The strength of this network depends on experienced leaders who are willing to offer discernment, perspective, and grounded support to women veterans stepping into wilderness leadership and rites of passage work.

This is not a casual advisory role. It is stewardship.

We are building a culture of mentorship rooted in responsibility, ethical practice, and intergenerational continuity.

The Role of a Mentor

Approved mentors within the network:

  • Offer structured guidance to assigned mentees

  • Share experiential knowledge in wilderness leadership and facilitation

  • Support mentees in ethical decision-making and readiness assessment

  • Model responsible stewardship of land-based work

  • Participate in periodic community touchpoints as the network grows

Mentors are not expected to carry participants. They are expected to guide with clarity and integrity.
