Guide Development Pathway

A structured pathway for women veterans pursuing wilderness guide training, mentorship, and professional development support.

Our Approach

Are you a woman veteran who feels called to guide others through nature-based experiences, rites of passage, or wilderness leadership?

The Guide Development Pathway is a vetted participation network within Wilderness Pathfinder Connections. This pathway is designed for women veterans who are ready to deepen their leadership, expand their skills, and step into responsible stewardship of transformative outdoor work.

This is not an open-access program.
It is a curated ecosystem built to support readiness, growth, and long-term sustainability.

What Participation Provides

Once accepted into the Guide Development Pathway, participants gain access to:

  • Mentorship matching with experienced guides

  • A private resource library and training materials

  • Leadership development opportunities

  • Eligibility to apply for internal funding opportunities

  • Community gatherings and peer support

Funding opportunities are available exclusively to accepted participants within the network.

Who This Pathway Is For

This pathway is intended for women veterans who:

  • Feel genuinely called to guide or facilitate transformational experiences

  • Are emotionally resourced and ready for structured development work

  • Are committed to personal growth and ethical leadership

  • Value community accountability and mentorship
